Description
For many of us therapy is not the first step we take when we desire change. We change our habits, lean on our support system, or continue the mantra: "I can handle this on my own". Therapy is so much more than fixing what you feel is wrong in your life, or returning to "who you were" in the past. It's about being honest and expressive about your feelings, being open to reflective conversations, and learning new ideas and skills that require both patience and growth. I want my clients to see therapy as a resource to help them on their wellness journey of becoming who they want to be.
My theoretical approach is a combination of cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused therapies. I work with adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I help my clients live more authentic lives. I offer a safe space, an open mind, and research-based interventions.
I know starting therapy is an overwhelming decision for many, so I want to congratulate you for even looking into getting started. If you or a friend are willing to take one more step. Please do not hesitate to call or email to schedule an appointment. I offer free 15-minute consultations to determine if we will be a good fit.
