Alycia Hornsby, AMFT #111570, (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in the State of California. Alycia earned her M.S. in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Arizona. She has experience working with adolescents and families in both the state of Arizona and California.
Alycia has worked in the mental health field in diverse settings since 2014. Through her own experience as a former track and field athlete and black female, Alycia has quickly learned her integrative approach to serve others in the BIPOC community. She has been able to cultivate knowledge and training in community based programs. She has experience as a behavior interventionist with children, as a case manager in community settings, crisis counselor, and as a clinician in the public school district. She is passionate about embracing and restoring relationships, in different age groups. Alycia has primarily worked with minority groups, LGBTQIA+, adolescents, young couples, singles (dating), athletes, substance use groups, individuals with anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment issues and transitions. Under the supervision of Dr. Gonzalez, Alycia utilizes an integrated approach to support you by combining person centered, positive psychology, cultural inclusivity, restorative justice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and a humanistic approach. Alycia practices her knowledge under many facets, but of these she is most passionate of discovering purpose and healing for all her clients.
