Earning her Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana, Allyson enjoys working with children and adults to support their social and emotional needs through use of best practice and research based interventions. Additionally, she has worked with diverse populations with an array of mental health symptoms such as Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Post- traumatic Stress Disorder, Mood disorder, and co-occurring Substance Use Disorder.
Allyson uses person-centered, strengths based interventions along with an optimistic commitment to help individuals to become independent life-long learners. Allyson’s approach to therapy is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can address their mental health needs without judgement. Therapy looks different for all individuals, and she will work together to create a plan to reach your goals. Allyson is passionate about providing quality services to adults and children from all walks of life in the community.
