Description
I help you metabolize anxiety and depression, especially from C-PTSD so that you have fewer blindspots, less distress and feel more at peace in your body and in your decisions.
My goal is to de-mystify what feels overwhelming. When we can name a pattern clearly, it not only loses some of its power, it gives us answers for how to undo that power as well.
I specialize in working with adults who appear “high functioning” on the outside but feel anxious, alone, emotionally disconnected, or burdened by old relational wounds on the inside. Many of my clients carry complicated mother relationships, chronic people-pleasing patterns, or simply hunger for more than self-awareness and clarity--they want change.
My work blends deep listening with structure and momentum. I help people slow down enough to notice what’s actually happening inside them, while also supporting forward movement toward real change.
I have a race, class, and gender studies background, along with an interest in multi-modal ethnography, where knowledge and data gathering can be acquired through non-patriarchial or traditional methods. I am interested in the subtle and subversive angles that mental health professionals, artists, and communities can use to observe ourselves and the world. I believe gathering data is meant to lead to creating internal and external conversations. The accuracy I'm interested in leads to self-awareness that changes the life of the observer not just the observed. So my work as a therapist is very much a partnership in looking into the mirror, where we both grow while I do the work of holding up the space for you to take center stage in seeing what's reflected.
