Description
Understanding who we are as individuals and what has led us to this point in our lives is an important part of each person’s journey. Often, we go through the motions of our daily routines without stopping to consider what we actually feel or how we want to live. Engaging in therapy allows you the space to pause in full awareness of yourself and take a breath. It is a space for witnessing yourself, for speaking your truth, for recognizing your needs and for honoring your journey up to this point. Ideally, it is a space to breathe new energy into your days in order to provide some light and ultimately, to work toward your own emotional growth and healing, whatever that means for you.
As a mixed-race Black woman, I recognize the importance of having a supportive container in which to navigate the complexities of life and relationships. I am dedicated to connecting Black, Indigenous, People of Color, immigrant communities and LGBTQIA+ folks to healing spaces. My style is authentic and relational, approached from a creative, holistic, and human-centered lens.
My clinical practice is informed by 10 years as a social worker in NYC public schools. I’ve worked with children, adolescents and parents/guardians as well as young adults, queer folks, and of color communities. Drawing from your strengths and goals, we will work in partnership to find concrete strategies to best support your unique needs and experiences on your personal healing journey.
