My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive...
-Maya Angelou.

~Now welcoming new clients in MA (in-person/virtual), NY (virtual), and VT (virtual).~

Are you struggling with perfectionism or a harsh inner critic? Is anxiety, self-doubt, or negative self-talk holding you back from living the life you envisioned for yourself? Are you able to give compassion, love, and kindness to others, but struggle with feeling that you deserve the same? Are you merely surviving instead of thriving? Therapy can help you with these and other concerns. As a biracial therapist, I have a unique -and personal- perspective on what it feels like to straddle two worlds, to feel misunderstood or invisible, or to question where you fit in. Using mind-body techniques and a personalized approach, I support my clients by offering a safe, nonjudgmental space to work on these and other issues. Let's work together to help you better understand yourself and begin healing. You are not alone!

I specialize in working with BIPOC clients (particularly those who identify as mixed-race/biracial or have interracial families or relationships) and LGBTQ+ clients. With the goal of self discovery and healing the wounded parts within, I help clients with a variety of issues including increasing self-compassion, reducing anxiety and feelings of distress, personal growth, and identity issues (racial, sexual orientation, gender).

Please contact me to learn more about how I can be helpful on your therapeutic journey. Let's work together to move beyond merely surviving; to move beyond the anxious, stressed place and uncover the more centered, authentic - thriving - self that resides within. Life can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to stay this way. Visit my website or email me (amosestherapy@gmail.com) to discuss the possibility of us working together. I can't wait to hear from you!
