Description
Alexis is a licensed social worker who earned her bachelor’s degree of Social Work from Delaware State University. Where she later she went on to study at Widener University to complete a Master of Social Work Education. Alexis has worked in various roles in the field as a Program Manager, Family Preservation Counselor, as well as a Family-Based Therapist. Alexis enjoys working with children, adolescents and parents. She applies therapeutic interventions using cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and ecosystemic structural family therapy. She has experience in providing children and families with behavioral modifications to help implement healthy environments in both school and home. She believes in a person-center therapy approach and values establishing a healthy therapeutic relationship. Alexis has experience providing treatment for ADHD, mood disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma.
