Akoma Counseling Concepts, LLC is a female, minority owned mental health counseling and consultation practice that specializes in women’s mental health. We provide counseling services to women on site/in-office in the metro Washington, DC area. We have a specialized focus on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (postpartum depression, miscarriage, perinatal loss, fertility issues, and postpartum anxiety).
We provide consulting services to community, education, or health care professionals to promote mental health awareness, advocacy, and cultural competency in the work place. We also provide continuing education on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Clinical supervision services are provided to individuals that have successfully completed a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling/ counseling psychology and are working to gain state licensure as a professional counselor.
