Description
I am a NY, NJ, & CT licensed, EMDR-trained therapist, committed to inclusive, effective, and anti-oppressive practice. I am drawn to therapy for its respect of the depth, scope, and complexities of all people. I am rooted in a Black feminist perspective and am dedicated to understanding the individual in the context of family legacies, community legacies, and socio-political systems. I have been trained at Ackerman Institute for the Family and Big Oak Psychotherapy Training Institute. I am currently enrolled in training at The Center for Body Trust.
I am particularly skilled at working with individuals who have experienced trauma and I am well versed in working with people of color & LGBTQIAA+ individuals who contend with oppression and systems that diminish wellness. I strongly value inclusivity and respect, and I incorporate these values into my work with an empowering and anti-oppressive practice.
Though I do not accept insurance, I can provide support around getting therapy within budget and am sometimes able to provide sliding scale rates. Please inquire for details.
