Making the decision to begin therapy can be a challenging one. That is why I pride myself in creating a safe space to help you make the best decision for you. I also understand that no two people are the same and as such, I tailor my skills to meet your specific needs. As a warm, passionate and caring clinician, I utilize the empowerment approach to help you identify emotions and underlying problems and strengths. We will work together to adjust your thoughts and behaviors to help you live a healthier and more fulfilling life.
I received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from East Carolina University and a Master of Social Work degree from Widener University. I am passionate towards working with all age groups and helping others to address and identify their mental health concerns. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to help clients achieve their goals. I have extensive training in dialectical behavioral therapy and treating survivors of trauma.
In my free time I enjoy shopping, traveling, spending time with family and friends and serving the community with my sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
I truly believe in living every day to the fullest, not just surviving. Feel free to inquire about how I can help you begin the process of transforming your life!
