Description
I am a psychologist, author, and mental health speaker who works with Black women navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and burnout. My approach to therapy is holistic, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when we feel seen, heard, and supported as our full selves.
I provide a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences without judgment—whether that includes managing work and relationship stress, processing trauma, setting healthier boundaries, or reconnecting with themselves after years of putting others first. I understand the unique pressures Black women often carry and the ways those pressures can impact emotional well-being, self-worth, and overall health.
My therapeutic style is collaborative and compassionate. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches, while also incorporating mindfulness, self-reflection, and strengths-based strategies. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you better understand yourself, honor your needs, and move forward with intention and clarity.
In addition to private practice, I have extensive experience working in institutional and high-pressure environments, including serving as a prison psychologist for several years. This background has deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the importance of empowerment and advocacy in the healing process.
Whether you are seeking support during a challenging season or looking to deepen your relationship with yourself, my goal is to walk alongside you as you reclaim your voice, your balance, and your flow.
