Hey there, I'm Ayda.
Who are you?
Is your first instinct to answer with your roles, your contexts, your accomplishments, your personality traits?
There really isn't a "wrong" answer. Though, this is a big question and at times of great transition, our initial answer can feel...incomplete.
During times when we begin or leave relationships, we invest or divest from institutions, we pursue or defer career/education goals, we begin the process of finding our voice & our boundaries with family, we come into our identities & start to dream up the life we want that somehow feels so far away, we can feel disillusioned about who we've been up until this point and uncertain about who we are yet to become.
I believe life circumstances are opportunities for our souls to shine forth and teach us who we really are.
My personal & professional experience has taught me that there's a wisdom inside of each of us leading us through the maze of life. My role is to support the emergence of your truth by holding consistent space for your journey. My role is to encourage the growing confidence in your expertise.
Whatever brings you to therapy we can work with. Underneath it all, our work holds space for who you're becoming.
I tend to do things unconventionally--I lead with my humanness rather than my degrees & training. I'm curious about if us working together can support your journey towards wholeness. And, I don't believe papers that institutions gave me can promise that more than building true and authentic therapeutic relationship. Suffice it to say, I'm one of many therapists seeking to decolonize this healing work.
