As a medical doctor and Board-certified psychiatrist, I have a decade of training underpinning my practice. So whatever you're going through, I'm here to help. I'll use all of my training and compassion to let you live the life you want.
A hallmark of my practice is that all adults are welcomed regardless of background. Having lived in three continents, I am particularly sensitive to diversity in culture and self-identity, including with respect to race, gender and sexuality.
The purpose of our first chat will be to get to know you and understand your challenges and preferences. Informed by the latest science, I adopt a holistic approach in providing treatment recommendations, which may include prescribed medication in combination with referrals to trusted therapists.
Like many psychiatry practices, I do not bill insurance companies directly. To reserve a slot, new patients are asked to provide valid payment details. The card will be pre-authorized in advance of the appointment and charged afterwards according to my fees schedule (see apraku.com/fees). To facilitate possible reimbursement by your insurance carrier, I provide a "superbill" with details regarding diagnosis and treatment. Certain insurance plans, such as PPOs, will accept such documentation subject to policy terms.
To maximize access, all of my appointments take place by secure video. That means I'm able to see anyone located in any of the states in which I’m licensed. New patients can self-schedule an appointment online directly at apraku.com/book. I look forward to working with you!
