This psychotherapy group is designed for women ages 45 and older who are navigating significant life-stage transitions, including empty nest adjustments, shifts in intimate relationships or marital disconnect, feelings of loneliness, identity changes, and the physical and emotional impact of menopause. These transitions can be complex and deeply personal, often occurring all at once, and many women find themselves seeking both understanding and connection during this phase of life.
This group is intentionally created for women of color, offering a culturally responsive and affirming space where shared lived experiences are centered and honored. Participants are invited to explore how culture, family roles, expectations, and systemic factors intersect with midlife changes, identity, and well-being.
The group focuses on:
Processing emotional and relational changes during midlife
Exploring identity, purpose, and self-rediscovery
Addressing loneliness and strengthening social connection
Navigating menopause and body-based changes with compassion
Building healthy boundaries and redefining relationships
Through guided discussion, mutual support, and therapeutic reflection, the group emphasizes community-building, validation, and empowerment. Members are encouraged to share openly, learn from one another, and develop coping strategies that support resilience and growth.
This group is ideal for women seeking a supportive, confidential environment to connect with others who truly understand the unique challenges and strengths of midlife within the BiPOC experience—fostering healing, connection, and renewed sense of self.
