Therapy for Women in Pennsylvania, Delaware & Virginia

At AWA Counseling Services, we create space where Black and Brown women feel seen, supported, and prioritize, because your healing deserves more than surface-level care. We’re a woman-led group practice serving Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia, offering virtual therapy that meets you where you are, literally and emotionally.

Our therapists bring a culturally-rooted, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach to therapy, honoring the complexity of your lived experiences while helping you reclaim your peace, power, and voice.

Adara Anderson, LPC, LPCMH (Founder & Licensed Counselor)
Specializes in anxiety, self-worth, life transitions, and supporting high-functioning Black women who are tired of being "the strong one." She creates a therapeutic space where clients can finally exhale.

Nermin Walker, PhD, LAPC (Licensed Associate Counselor)
Nermin supports women and teens navigating stress, anxiety, identity shifts, and first-generation pressures. Her approach is affirming, gentle, and grounded in both empathy and real-life tools.

Tajae Reese, MS, LAPC (Licensed Associate Counselor)
Tajae works with individuals, couples and groups through the lens of healing attachment wounds, navigating relationships, and cultivating emotional safety. She brings warmth and clarity to tough conversations.

Whether you’re unpacking generational cycles, burnout, relationship patterns, or simply figuring out who you are without the pressure, we’re here for you. At AWA, therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all: it’s personalized, purposeful, and rooted in cultural care.

Let’s find the therapist who feels like the right fit. We’re ready when you are.

Group Therapy Details

At AWA, we believe every person is the expert of their own experience. Our group therapy sessions are collaborative and rooted in shared healing, where insight and connection are co-created.

Facilitators act as compassionate guides, helping participants feel safe, seen, and empowered to show up authentically. When that happens, trust deepens, breakthroughs emerge, and collective healing unfolds. In every therapy group, you’ll find support, community, and space for meaningful transformation.
