Description
Life is a journey of constant change, and in this ever-evolving process, mindfulness therapy can be a tool for you. I'm Azania (she/her), an LGSW dedicated to providing a Black-Centered care in therapy. My focus lies in supporting BIPOC, queer, and trans/non-binary adults (18+) as they navigate a multitude of challenges, including intergenerational and historical traumas, sexual violence, first-generation experiences, artistic endeavors, entrepreneurship, and career development.
Drawing from both my professional training and personal journey as a pansexual individual with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, and a mixed-race background (Black/Singaporean Eurasian), I view therapy as a transformative tool. It's a space where intentional choices can be made, and my role is to guide clients through diverse experiences, from complex trauma to daily mental health struggles, with the assurance of freedom and non-judgment.
Communication and connection form the cornerstone of healing in my practice. My practice is grounded in person-focused and trauma-informed care, I integrate various modalities, including my certifications in Sexual Assault Advocacy, Applied Suicide Intervention, and Motivational Interviewing. Witnessing transformation and healing within my community is a privilege I cherish deeply.
I invite you to reach out with any questions, as together, we embark on a journey towards growth and self-discovery.
