Description
I'm a licensed psychologist devoted to the healing and joy of Black professionals and graduate students who are navigating distressing times and making the courageous decision to reach out for support. I help my clients through many types of concerns, such as depression, anxiety, career stress, burnout, challenging transitions, racialized stress, and grief. I'm a therapist for the "strong friend," the "good listener," and the one who's "made it" yet has unseen struggles and heavy burdens. My style is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. I use an integrated approach to therapy, drawing from multiple modalities and theoretical orientations to tailor the experience to your needs. I prioritize work that is culturally-responsive, inclusive, intersectional, and liberatory.
I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development. I completed an APA-accredited doctoral internship at George Mason University Counseling and Psychological Services. I have experience working in university counseling, community mental health, sports psychology, and private practice. In addition to providing individual therapy, I also enjoy providing consulting services, workshops, and panel presentations.
If you'd like to explore the possibility of working together, I'd love to hear from you!
