Sometimes milestones such as marriage, children, divorce and death and other life changes bring up old traumas or forgotten memories. We do our best to recover from anxiety, depression, trauma and other stressors on our own but sometimes we need outside support that goes beyond what friends, family and loved ones can provide.
Sit Awhile & Heal clinicians reflect the practice's name. It's a safe space where you can process thoughts and emotions that impact your daily functioning or a place to work through things from your past and/or present that have impacted you more than you imagined. We use successful interventions that are backed by evidence with heavy emphasis on culturally competent care at all times.
If you are someone from the BIPOC community you are welcome here. If you are someone that is open to change, ready to do the hard work that comes along with ending generational trauma or someone that is weary from caring for others whether it is professionally(healthcare workers, teachers, caretakers) then know that Sit Awhile & Heal is ready to receive you and provide you with a place to come and "sit awhile".
