Description
Kindred Therapy is currently Accepting New Clients in PA & NJ.
Meet Lauren Gray, LSW (she/they)
I am a Black, queer, neurodivergent person who believes that radical love, patience, compassion, curiosity, and joy bring radical change. You will feel the infusion of these beliefs in our sessions.
Since the world can be a very hard place, my intention is to create a soft place for my clients to exist without judgment. My goal is to meet you where you are and then walk with you as you explore what shaped you, who you are today, and who you want to be.
I can support you with:
- Working through anxiety and depression
- Understanding neurodivergence
- Adjusting to life’s ups, downs, and transitions
- Rediscovering the power of your voice and imagination
- Connecting with your body through somatic and embodiment practices
- Coming home to yourself and all that falls in between
I use a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and collaborative lens which means that I center your autonomy, safety, and choice in our sessions and we will work together to create and meet your goals.
With an anti-oppressive approach, I will highlight the ways systems of oppression like racism, homophobia, gender norms, capitalism, etc. impact your life and, together, we will explore ways to resist, rest, and heal.
My favorite quote is by Maya Angelou who says,
“Take a day to heal from the lies you’ve told yourself and the ones that have been told to you.”
Let’s work together to sift through these untruths to empower you to live authentically and audaciously all while creating laughter and warmth along the way.
Lauren is supervised by Leah Cohen, LCSW.
