Description

I am a Clinical Social Worker, licensed in New York State and Louisiana, and I have been practicing in New York City for over a decade.

My lived experience as a bicultural Black woman and teen mom is what drew me to social work, and eventually clinical practice. I have a visceral understanding of the desire to overcome adversity, live authentically, and thrive. That understanding enhances my ability to connect with my clients’ humanity and empathize deeply.

I am dedicated to the service of all people, with a special interest in supporting the healing and empowerment of Black and Brown women whose lives are burdened by anxious distress.

Using an integrative and collaborative approach, I can support you with changing anxiety-inducing and self-defeating patterns of thought and behavior so that you can harness the strengths already within you.

I utilize a multicultural framework, and I am committed to providing an identity-affirming and safe emotional context to engage the therapeutic process.

Group Therapy Details

The dating world can be a frustrating space to navigate. Ideally, you would meet people, have fun, partner with someone you feel aligned with, and enjoy a fulfilling and long-lasting relationship. When that doesn’t happen as imagined, loneliness, fear about the future, and feelings of inadequacy —among other painful feelings —may arise.

This therapy group is for single women across the sexuality spectrum in their 30s/40s who reside in New York City and are trying to cope with disappointments, challenges, and pain points in their dating lives.

Group members will share their lived experiences, process their thoughts and feelings, and gain insight into interpersonal patterns and barriers to the types of connection they desire.
