Description

Brittany is a dedicated holistic wellness practitioner, serving the greater Washington Metropolitan area (DMV). As a clinically licensed Social Worker, she is committed to the wellness of each and every person she encounters; a compassion which extends to all, including those not seen formally in session. For well over a decade, she has amassed a breadth of experience in a variety of social work roles and finds her work as a Mental Health Therapist, most rewarding.

Brittany specializes in treating anxiety, daily & toxic stress, and addressing spiritual concerns. Her approach is filled with compassion, attentiveness, and quality mental health care. It’s understood that while two people may have similar experiences, no two healing journeys will look the same. Therefore, each session is approached meeting the client where she/he/they are in their healing process and individualizing treatment. The ultimate goal is to assist clients in making the connection between the complexities of body, soul (mind/emotions), and spirit in order to understand and heal root traumas resurfacing in present situations. There are a variety of therapy models and techniques used throughout the therapeutic process, but most often Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Counseling - upon request.

When Brittany isn't guiding clients toward healing in session, she's attending classes and conferences to implement the most innovative practices to address her clients' needs, as she is a Doctoral Student of Social Work at the University of Southern California. She brings relatability, dependability, knowledge, and a whole lot of passion to her work. A common theme in her personal life and professional practice is knowing the importance of pouring from a full cup versus an empty one. Therefore, when Brittany isn’t pouring into others, she’s spending time with her amazing son, riding her bike with her mom, being pampered at her sister’s esthetic studio, traveling with her partner and/or friends, worshipping with church family, or eating good food, solo. No matter the atmosphere, she is always mindful of creating a safe space and holding space for healing: Ready, set, breathe.
