Description
- Feeling misunderstood or unheard in your marriage? Constant arguments followed by painful silence. Two people sharing a home but living like strangers. Whether you are facing emotional disconnect, infidelity, or the fear of divorce, couples therapy can help you find a way forward — together. With over 60 marriage intensives and training in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and EMDR, I help couples rebuild connection, resolve conflict, and restore trust. I also offer marriage intensives — concentrated, multi-hour sessions designed to create breakthroughs that weekly therapy can take months to reach.
- I also work with individuals carrying wounds from church hurt, spiritual trauma, and religious trauma. If your experience in a church or faith community left you feeling confused, betrayed, silenced, or disconnected from God, I understand that pain — not from the outside, but from the inside. I hold a Master of Divinity from Emory University, served 14 years in pastoral ministry across four denominations, and cared for over 1,300 patients as a Board Certified Chaplain. I use EMDR to help clients heal wounds that prayer alone could not reach. You should not have to choose between healing and your faith.
- Whether your marriage needs restoration or your faith community left wounds you have never been allowed to name, there is a path forward. You do not have to keep carrying this alone. I offer couples sessions, marriage intensives, and individual therapy in Decatur and Atlanta, GA. Visit faithandfamilyempowerment.com for online scheduling or call to get started. Sessions available in person and via video.
