Description

I support my clients in transforming their life circumstances so that they can feel as though they are living the life they want each and every day. My work centers on helping individuals move beyond survival and into a deeper sense of mental, emotional, and personal freedom, so they can experience a life that feels both peaceful and fulfilling.

Clients who work with me are often navigating a sense of feeling stuck or disconnected—unsure of who they are now after life has shaped them in unexpected ways. Many come in seeking clarity: clarity about themselves, about what they want, and about how to move toward a life that feels aligned and meaningful. There is often an underlying sense that something more is possible—a desire for peace, fulfillment, and direction—but uncertainty about how to get there. Together, we work to understand what may be blocking that path and begin the process of moving through it with intention and clarity. A large part of this work hinges on supporting you with recognizing and shifting limiting beliefs—the internal patterns shaping your experience—so you can feel more in control of your thoughts, choices, and direction in life.

I take a compassionate, empathic approach to therapy, meeting you exactly where you are so that the changes you seek feel accessible and sustainable.

At the beginning of therapy, I teach a set of core foundational skills that we will continue to build on throughout our work together—tools designed not only to support you now, but to stay with you long after therapy ends. As difficulties begin to ease, our work may naturally evolve into a more growth-oriented, forward-looking process—one where you are no longer just asking how to feel better, but exploring what it means to truly thrive and how far you can go.

TRAINING & TREATMENT APPROACHES

I received my PhD in clinical psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed my pre-doctoral fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City.

I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while the foundation of my work is mindfulness-based, with an integration of somatic and parts work. I believe that building present-moment awareness is essential to all meaningful change—because to know where you’re going, you must first be able to see clearly where you are. Through this work, you begin to develop the ability to relate differently to your thoughts and emotions, strengthening your capacity for conscious, intentional change.
